Ted goes to Hospital is the first book from Teach Ted. It follows our hero Ted as he gets ready for his operation. The simple story helps alleviate anxiety by familiarising your child with the hospital process, making the hospital journey a smoother process for both your child and you.
Children learn what to expect on their hospital visit and what to take with them. They see the routine admission tests they’ll experience, meet key members of their hospital team and see what it’s like inside the operating theatre.
Once they’ve completed the story, their book becomes their passport to hospital: including a certificate of readiness, fun photoframes to capture all the people they meet along the way and a checklist to make sure the adults cover everything off! There is also a fun booklet with lots of hospital themed activities to complete.
For parents, the Parent Advice booklet provides more detailed information including common concern areas, when and how to explain things to your child, discussion points and links to trusted sources.
